Every effort is made to assure that the presenters are those whose skills and experiences demonstrate a high level of success and who can contribute to the attendees’ ability to hone their professional skills and improve their day-to-day work practices. Presenters in the Program Track on Lead and Healthy Homes Grant Management, Successful Program Implementation and Evaluation come from local government agencies, community organizations, non-profit groups and private consulting firms who have demonstrated successful track records in the development and implementation of Lead Hazard Control programs, Healthy Homes programs, Lead Elimination Action Programs, and Lead and Healthy Homes Demonstration grants, and in the design and submission of grant applications. Presenters in the Program Track on Eliminating Childhood Lead Poisoning and Conducting Healthy Homes Programs come from public health departments, housing and community development agencies, research institutions, health educators, community organizations and parents who have undertaken lead screening programs, primary prevention programs, community education and outreach activities, and asthma intervention programs. Presenters in the Program Track on Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Healthy Housing Technologies for Environmental Professionals, Building Owners and Managers, and Remediation Contractors come from the lead industry, environmental consulting companies, laboratories, inspection and risk assessment firms, contracting companies, and facilities who have successfully undertaken environmental hazard prevention, inspection and remediation projects, and who have proven track records in the development and implementation of hazard identification and remediation programs. Presenters will also include state and federal officials engaged in the development and management of programs administered through the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; national leaders from policy organizations and health advocacy groups. |
